The Shadows Universe

What are the Shadows?
The shadows are the places we hide the parts of ourselves we have been taught the world may not accept.
They hold the relationships that do not follow the traditional script, the desires we hesitate to name, the identities we protect, the wounds we carry, and the contradictions that make us human. They are shaped by love and fear, pleasure and pain, strength and vulnerability, and the complicated choices people make while trying to understand themselves and one another.
In the Shadows Universe, darkness does not mean something is broken, dangerous, or wrong. Sometimes the darkest places exist simply because someone decided certain parts of the human experience belonged there.
These stories step into those places.
Through morally complicated characters, unconventional relationships, sexuality, trauma, attachment, stigma, identity, and the expectations society places on love, the Shadows Universe explores what happens when people begin questioning the rules they were given and what they discover when the parts of themselves they kept hidden are finally allowed to be seen.
What parts of ourselves do we place in the shadows because we’re afraid of what will happen if they’re seen?
Enter the Shadows
There is no single path through the shadows.
Each story explores a different corner of the human experience- different characters, different relationships, different wounds, and different reasons for hiding pieces of ourselves from the world.
Some shadows are created by trauma. Others by stigma, fear, social expectations, secrecy, or the need to belong. Some protect us for a time. Others eventually become places we must find the courage to leave.
The stories may be different, but the question remains the same: What happens when the life we are expected to live collides with the life that feels authentically our own?
Now that you’ve chosen to enter the Shadows Universe, the familiar world is behind you. Ahead are different stories, different lives, and different shadows waiting to be explored.
Choose a door and see what awaits.

Door 1- The Girl in the Shadows (Book 1)
Luna has spent nearly a century collecting stories, scars, secrets, and identities that refuse to fit neatly inside the life others believe a woman is supposed to live. Behind the first door, the shadows hold trauma and survival, sexuality and submission, faith and judgement– and the question of whether the experiences that leave scars on us must also define who we become.
Door 2- House of Shadows (Book 2A)
Cheyanne enters the shadows when love stops following the rules she has always been taught relationships are supposed to obey. Behind the second door are jealousy, secrecy, social expectations, and consensual non-monogamy– and the question of who gets to decide what a relationship should look like: the people living it or the world watching from outside.
Door 3- Shadows of Happiness (Book 2B)
Loving differently is one thing. Learning how to build security inside that love is something else entirely. Behind the third door, Cheyanne, Austin, and Bethany confront attachment, old wounds, insecurity, communication, and the difficult work of creating trust within a relationship that has no traditional script.
Door 4- Dancing in the Shadows (Book 3)
Rebekah has learned to survive by deciding which version of herself the world is allowed to see. Raven exists in another part of her life– protected by secrecy, boundaries, and the belief that separate identities can remain separate. Behind the fourth door, those boundaries begin to collapse. Identity, attachment, sexuality, stigma, relationships, and visibility collide as Rebekah confronts a question at the heart of the Shadows Universe: Can we ever truly belong while hiding pieces of ourselves?
Doors Yet To Open
More stories are taking shape beyond the path you’ve already traveled. Their characters are waiting. Their shadows are forming. And when the time copes, the doors will open.
The Psychology Behind the Shadows
The darkest parts of these stories aren’t always the ones you can see.
The Shadows Universe explores fictional relationships and characters, but many of the questions beneath those stories come from real areas of psychology and human behavior.
Why do we pursue people who pull away from us and sometimes retreat from the people who come closer? Why do we hide parts of ourselves even from the people we love? What happens when the relationships, identities, or desires that feel authentic to us conflict with what society tells us they should look like?
Throughout the Shadows Universe, characters wrestle with attachment, trauma, identity, stigma, sexuality, consent, relationship structures, emotional regulation, and the complicated ways people learn to protect themselves.
Psychology doesn’t make these characters less complicated.
It helps us understand why their complications make them human.
The Universe is Growing
Not every shadow has revealed its story yet.
The Shadows Universe began with stories about the parts of ourselves and our relationships that are often hidden from view. But every story creates new questions, new characters, and new paths worth exploring.
Some characters may step out of the shadows again. Others are only beginning to take shape. Future stories will continue exploring complicated relationships, identity, psychology, sexuality, stigma, and the many ways people search for connection while learning to understand themselves.
The universe will continue to grow as the stories do.
There are always more shadows to explore.
